Global Telemann Systems announced
WindowsNT and Linux Driver for DVB-IP PC Card
(San Jose, California) - On July 15, Global Telemann Systems, Inc.
(TELEMANN) announced the official release of WindowsNT and Linux driver
for DVB-IP PC Card (SkyMedia-300, SkyMedia-200 and SkyMedia-200D).
In these days, more and more companies and individuals are choosing
Microsoft Windows NT and LINUX as their operating system platform.
Based on this dramatic success and popularity of WindowsNT and Linux,
there have been serious demand for these driver development.
Since the successful development of DVB-IP Satellite Reception
PC Card based on Microsoft Windows 95/98, TELEMANN has been trying
to support more wide range of operating system platform to support
various requirements from corporate and semi-professionals.
TELEMANN's SkyMedia-200/300 is a special PC Card that allows reception
of almost all kinds of digital satellite signals. The television or
radio signals can be fed to normal television, hi-fi or even to normal
computer screen and speaker. Further more users can also enjoy many
different kinds of data services while they are watching TV or listening
to the radio.
To operate SkyMedia-200/300/200D, it is recommended that PC be equipped
with a 133MHz or better Pentium Processor and 16MB or more of memory.
The harddisk should have 3MB of free space and a PCI slot should be
available for the PC Card. If PC VGA has Direct-X facilities, performance
boosts up dramatically. A sound card is optional, but highly recommended
for best audio quality.
Currently, Telemann's PC Card support Microsoft WindowsNT V4.0, LINUX
kernel V2.0.X and Microsoft Windows 95/98, and also planning to support
UNIX platform in near future.
